– At the interdoctoral seminar The Ph.D. outside the University. Meeting with entrepreneurs, managers and professionals (Aula Absidale Santa Lucia at the University of Bologna, March 3, 2010), organized by the Italian Institut of Human Scinces and by the Ph.D. School of Humanities of the University of Bologna respectively presided and directed by U. Eco, Andrea Nanetti was invited to present his professional and business experience along with Dr. Beppe Feyles, Director of the TV channel Rete 4, and Davide Zanichelli, founder of the company NeTribe, in order to recall the interest on non-academic professional opportunities to the Ph.D. students in Humanities. The seminar was organized in collaboration with the Spinner Consortium (Bologna) in the framework of the project “Spinner 2013 – Interventions for qualifying human resources in research and technological innovation”.

– In 2010, June 14-19, he was invited by the Directorate General for Research of the European Commission to take part in the EU-China Science and Technology Week at the European Union Pavilion at World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. He was funded by the Flaminia Foundation and represented the University of Bologna. The event was opened by José Manuel Silva Rodriguez, EU Director-General for Research, and Jianlin Cao, Vice-Minister for Science and Technology in the People’s Republic of China, Jean-Michel Baer EU Director for Science Economy and Society at the Directorate General for Research, and Jianguo Han Director-General of the Bureau of International Cooperation in the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The EU-China STW brought together leading scientists, journalists, and representatives from industry, academia and government from the European Union and China.
